DOL YouthBuild Orientation Meeting on Jan 29-31, 2008 in Dallas, TX. The Department of Labor and the YouthBuild Technical Assistance Collaborative will host two and one half days of informative, interactive sessions on a number of topics, including: Performance Measures, Financial Management, Computer Lab: YouthBuild Performance System, Career Voyages, New Grantee Orientation, Implementing Through Partnerships, Sustainability: City, County, and State Funding. Partnership Management

HUDs Partnership Management Workshop directed by Partners for Community Solutions improves the ability of organizations to manage a complex Youthbuild Program with numerous partners.  In the past ten years, more and more Youthbuild Programs are operating in partnership with a number of agencies, organizations and individuals to implement their programs.  These partners often have different requirements and structures that cause difficulties for Youthbuild Managers.  The workshop will offer techniques that include memorandum of understandings, scheduled communication and surrogate management. We will also address when to share and not share information with partners. This workshop is for program managers who work with, or plan to work with multiple partners for implementation.
