A comprehensive youth and community development program that supports workforce development for drop out youth between the ages of 16 - 24 in the United States, Youthbuild Grantees (nonprofits, agencies, and cities) receive resources from HUD to tackle several key community issues at once, strengthening their capacity to build and manage housing for their residents, educate and inspire their youth, create leadership for the future and generally take responsibility for their neighborhoods. Specifically, the program aims to:
1Provide economically disadvantaged young adults with an educational experience that will enhance their employment skills, as a path toward achieving self-sufficiency.
